In America, sex comes off as being something that "THOU SHALL NOT SPEAK OF"...ever(even though it's all over the place in "teen" shows). A lot of people get uncomfortable when sex comes up in a conversation, certain movie scenes make them look away.
People made a HUGE deal about the Janet Jackson incident, why? She had nipples. Last time I check, everyone has them. While we were over here screaming and hollering about a nipple being exposed and tightening the reins of TV networks, Daniel Radcliffe was over in Europe, having a naked love affair with a horse, on stage(don't act like you never googled those pictures). China is or has opening a sexual theme amusement park. Japan has fertility parades with things in it that would make Howard Stern blush. Young Japanese girls sit on top of a wooden(sometimes stone) penis, to "better fertility". Heck, Japans entire culture is based off of sex. I can't even imagine if we had half of the things that the Japanese had on their streets.

But American's try to avoid everything that has to do with sex. Sex ed isn't even about sex. It's pretty much the horrors of what could happen if you have sex.
Even a nude painting could be too much for American eyes(sad).
People are thinking about it all the time. For some people it is ALL they think about, but they are forbidden to talk about it because it is such a weird taboo. People have it, People think about it, Some people watch it, but for some reason it is soooooo wrong to talk about it. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT AT ALL!
We teach younger kids not to talk about it, that it is a forbidden thing, which makes them even more curious! I think if people started talking about sex more openly, then their would be fewer 11 year olds (They start younger than that nowdays) that jump right into it. I think even older people would be smarter about sex, if it were a topic that was "allowed" to be shared.
But I honestly don't see that happening(not in my lifetime anyway). Sex is going to be a Taboo in America for a long time. And while we are over here living our slightly limited life, People on the other side of the world are riding roller-coasters shaped like penis's.......
......I'm pretty sure that's a little unfair.
