They use to draw by hand?!

I am all about hand drawn cartoons and movies. I have hundreds of cartoons from the 40s-70s on dvd that are old and busted up, which mistakes everywhere. I grew up watching hand drawn cartoons and movies. It seems like nothing is drawn by hand anymore. Everything is done a computer. Different programs, software, technology killed cartoons for me. Disney shut down that part of there studio and so have other companies(Though Disney is opening it again for the first time in years to make a Winnie the Pooh movie).

Kids now, are going to grow up doing everything on a computer. RELYING on new technology for art purposes. Sketch books seem to be a thing of the past, which is truly sad. I think the best art is done on paper. Even some adults have put paper aside to embrace CG and such. Paper and crayons that use to be the IT item for children, are now the rejects in the craft/art store. Video games, CG movies, CG cartoons, my son isn't in to movie that even LOOK hand drawn. Everyone needs 3 dimensions all of the sudden.

With fewer people embracing PAPER, I can see the difference.  Smaller sections for it in store, old paper you never used that is in a pile somewhere, in a cupboard you never use.  It will be a sad day when we live in a paperless world. But as long as there is paper and as long as there are pencils and crayons, I will have them.
